Masque Milano

Times Square - Masque Milano

Act I Scene IV
New York stinks. Smells like raw tobacco and thick exhaust. On the streets, traffic jams seem to never end. And it smells of hot tires and stale steam. People are weird. The trendy girl, on her fluo-green stilettos, orders a huge pretzel. And it stinks of filthy food from the stalls. Fried and cinnamon. Of mustard and caramel. The cherry of the whore's blood-colored lipstick mixes with the strawberry of her chewing gum. The side alleys are garbage and piss. But make your way through the throng of girls queuing for the striptease, for yet another bachelorette party, and you'll be hit by trails of tuberose and carnation. Tonight I feel like taking a walk. Get me a burger and some crab pancakes. And - along the way - breathe the miasma of the city.

I love this city. How much I love her.
