Penhaligon's is one of the leading figures in the history of artisanal perfumery, creator of collections, shrouded in a legendary aura, that are famous throughout the world. The prestigious house offers olfactory codes linked to English tradition and an elite and refined production. William Penhaligon is an eccentric and nonconformist alchemist, he soon began to create creams, potions and colognes that did not take long to fascinate the city's aristocracy and upper middle class. Toward the end of Queen Victoria's reign, William Penhaligon was appointed barber and perfumer to the Royal Court. Since that time, Penhaligon's has been awarded the prestigious Royal Warrant most recently, by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales in 1988.
