Escentric Molecules 03 is a tribute to Vetiverile Acetate, a natural + synthetic root hybrid, in two different fragrances.
Vetiverile Acetate can be described as a hybrid molecule, half natural and half synthetic. It is a fraction of vetiver oil, distilled from the roots of an Indian herb, which is then "cross-linked" with acetic acid to eliminate the bitter, leathery notes of the root.
The result is an elegant and refined molecule with the woody, slightly herbaceous character of vetiver, but much softer and more velvety.
"Acetylation also brings out the grapefruit touch of vetiver," says Geza Schoen, "making the top note more distinctly bitter and fresh."Molecule 03 consists solely of pure Vetiverile Acetate.
