In creating Synthetic Jungle, nose Anne Flipo has retained the opulent basil of the original composition, along with a recomposed bouquet of hyacinth, lily of the valley, natural jasmine and Ylang Ylang oil.
To modernize and refine the fragrance, he then added synthetic blackcurrant and stiryl acetate, effectively passing the bouquet through a glossy, shimmering filter, while the Chypre and Leathery notes were simplified into a cleaner, more streamlined accord, with a of patchouli to give body and longevity.
